Speaker 1:

This is Mixed and Mastered. Extra credit who would be like your dream artist of style that you haven't worked with yet? And it could be from the past. It could be, you know, ella Fitzgerald. It could be anybody, just whatever.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I mean, my number one is Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson, if I could ever style anyone, it would have been Michael Jackson.

Speaker 1:

Michael's style is so interesting because you look at it now and you realize he was like 50 years in front of everybody 50 years in front of everyone.

Speaker 2:

He just had this uniform, but not so uniform sense of style, loved to play with different silhouettes. Everything, I don't care what Michael Jackson wore, everything had a touch of elegance. And when you saw Michael Jackson, oh, I can only imagine when you were actually dressing Michael Jackson. You were dressing a superstar. That's something that I feel like. I don't want to diss Beyonce, but there are very few superstars. Yes, yes, that was a man made of pure magic. So, michael Jackson, if there's anyone that I could have ever dressed in my life, or if I could go back in time, it's Michael Jackson.

Speaker 1:

OK, ok, ok, yeah, ok, give me your three favorite designers. And why are they your three favorites?

Speaker 2:

Tom Ford is my number one favorite because he understands luxury on another level, understands luxury on another level. It's not about logo, it's not about trend. Anything Tom has done you can wear now or you can wear in 20 years. So he's going to use the most magnificent leather. He's going to use the greatest exotics of crocodile, down to Tom Ford's zippers. If you actually are able to just to see a Tom Ford, his zippers are custom made. The teeth are special in a Tom Ford zipper. His fragrance is amazing. It's lifestyle. So it's not just fashion design, whether it's a candle, whether it's eyewear, whether it's footwear, whether it's clothingwear, whether it's clothing, everything about Tom Ford is luxury because it's life, wear, lifestyle. So Tom Ford is my number one. It's crazy another Tom.

Speaker 2:

I love Tom Brown. I love what Tom Brown does because it sort of kind of takes me back to if I ever takes me back to childhood. If I ever had to wear a uniform, I wouldn't mind wearing a Tom Brown uniform. You know it's Tom Brown when you see it. I love it because it has its own identity. Anything that he does, you can actually connect the. I can actually just connect and say that's Tom Brown. Now, obviously it's like. It reminds me, it's reminiscent of, like the Adidas stripe, but on a luxury level. So you know Tom Brown when you see it. So for me, I love him because of how he's been able to be so creative, so diverse, so versatile, but also so signature at the same time.

Speaker 2:

And then, third would probably be damn, who would I go to as my third? Who do I love? I mean, I love. So I have two. I have two finals. So the first one would be Laquan Smith, because to me Laquan is is the new sexy. He's old Hollywood glamour. He's modern, he's sexy, he's chic, and I feel like there aren't really a lot of designers who are actually designing like that today that know and care and love a woman's body the way that Laquan does. So I love Laquan Smith. And then I also love Sergio Hudson, because Sergio Hudson is just classic style to me. Okay, so those are my final two, so I have four, unfortunately.

Speaker 1:

Is there a fashion movie, either documentary or film or nonfiction or whatever, that you would recommend to somebody to watch that you love, just for the style of?

Speaker 2:

it. If you want a style reference, I think that you should go back. Anyone should go back to television and just watch sex in the city. Any season, any time, any era, watch sex in the city. The magic that patricia feels and molly were able to create those were the two costume designers on that at that time was like something I'd never seen before. And if it's a movie, I'd say watch Devil Wears Prada, which again is Patricia Philz. So those are my two go-tos. If you want to actually have some type of style reference or or or guide to go to, that's what you should do.

Speaker 1:

You're a world traveler. You've vacationed in some of the most luxurious places ever. What is your favorite vacation place?

Speaker 2:

It used to be Anguilla, but that's because I love the sand, I love that beach. That was a special place to me. But now I love to go into St Maxime, which is about two hours from Nice, and then hop around from, like Saint-Tropez, to Grasse, where you can go make your own fragrance to Cannes. So it's definitely the European, the.

Speaker 1:

Mediterranean. So it's definitely the European, it's definitely the Mediterranean yes, the Mediterranean, but that's my favorite.

Speaker 2:

I would say that's what it is see, that might have been too fly.

Speaker 1:

That's another level. It's someone it's education it's dope. I'm not downplaying, I'm just like. Even I was like oh, you can make. People are hearing that and I know you can make your own fragrance and stuff. Yes, you're putting people up on game.

Speaker 2:

You know what I'm saying, but it's true and I want to share that experience with someone because someone shared it with me. So I mean, I discovered it. But Go to Europe, go to Saint-Tropez, visit Cannes and then visit Grasse, and go make yourself your own signature fragrance.

Speaker 1:

That's dope, that's dope, that's dope.
